Booking Terms and Conditions

By Making a booking you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions as Outlined below

  • A non- refundable deposit of £50 (sterling) is required to secure the booking. This should be made payable to Michael Grolys, The Byre, Old Mill Flatt, Newby, Penrith, Cumbria, CA10 3HG
  • Upon receipt of the deposit confirmation will be sent out with a brochure pack including balance owing, directions, a copy of the Terms and Conditions and how to get access to the property on your arrival
  • You may be requested to pay a good housekeeping deposit of £50 with your final balance which will be returned to you within two weeks of your departure to cover breakages and to ensure that the property is left clean and tidy
  • The balance of payment is due 4 weeks before the holiday. Failure to pay the balance may result in the cancellation of your booking and loss of the non-refundable deposit
  • It is the responsibility of the visitor to arrange appropriate travel/holiday cancellation insurance
  • Cancellations must be received in writing and the balance will be due unless the barn can be re-let for that period
  • Visitors on departure undertake to leave the barn in a clean and tidy condition. Additional cleaning costs will be charged to the Customer as appropriate
  • The booking is from 3:00pm (as notified by the owners in correspondence) on day of arrival and 10:00am on day of departure
  • Visitors are responsible for any breakages and damages and must inform the owners as such
  • The owners reserve the right to seek compensation for any damage discovered after guests have departed
  • Pets are welcome at this property. Only two dogs/cats MAXIMUM are allowed per property. Please, no bitches in season.
  • No additional charges are made for Pets
  • Pets are NOT to be left unattended in the properties. Failure to adhere to this may result in the cancellation of your booking with full loss of payment
  • Pets are not to be allowed on the furniture or beds. Any additional cleaning costs resulting from this will be charged to guests accordingly
  • Visitors must refrain from smoking in the barns
  • Occupancy of each property must not exceed 6 persons (babies excluded). Over occupancy will be in breach of the standard terms and conditions and as a result may involve you being asked to vacate the property
  • A cot and high chair are available for each property upon request
  • Prices are inclusive of linen, towels, heating and electricity
  • Please contact the owner for the price of Short/Weekend rates. These are subject to availability and actual prices are dependent on the time of year. Short/Weekend rates are for a minimum of three nights.
